How it works

From their message to your reply, without leaving the thread.

  1. 1Step one

    The message lands.

You are under a sink, on a roof, or halfway up a ladder. The customer wants an estimate, and answering properly means stopping what you are doing.

    Trade ReplyMore
  2. 2Step two

    One screenshot.

A keyboard cannot read your conversation — so Trade Reply does not pretend to. You take the screenshot everyone already knows how to take, and it reads the whole thread from that.

  3. 3Step three

It ranks what to do next.

Not a blank prompt box. Trade Reply picks from 23 contractor actions — give a price range, book the estimate, ask for photos — and puts the most likely one first.

Written in your voice, with your real pricing. Trade Reply drafts it and puts it in the box — the send button is still yours, and always will be.

Your customer says

Your price is higher than the other quote I got.

The hardest message a contractor gets. Every tone below answers it without dropping the price.

I completely understand. Our pricing reflects the materials, workmanship and service included in the project, and I'm happy to walk you through the estimate so you can see exactly what's covered.

Polished and businesslike, but still human. Avoid corporate jargon.

Why not just use ChatGPT

AI built for contractors.
Not corporate offices.

A general assistant can write anything, which is exactly the problem: you have to tell it everything first, on a phone, between jobs.

Generic AI

  • You write the prompt, every time
  • You explain the situation first
  • Corporate-sounding answers
  • Copy out, switch app, paste in
  • Knows nothing about your pricing

Trade Reply

  • Contractor actions, ranked for you
  • It reads the thread from a screenshot
  • Written the way a tradesperson talks
  • Drafts in the app you are already in
  • Quotes your real services and prices

What we will not do

Your customers’ messages stay yours.

Most of what a reply assistant reads is what your customer wrote — and they never agreed to anything. So the defaults are the careful ones, and each of these is enforced on the server, not just promised here.

  • It never sends anything

Trade Reply writes the draft and puts it in your message box. Every send is a tap you make.

  • Nothing is kept by default

Every retention setting starts off. No stored conversations, no stored replies, no stored screenshots.

  • Nothing is read without a tap

The keyboard never reads while you type. It reads when you ask it to, for the action you asked for.

  • Screenshots are deleted after reading

A photo of somebody’s basement is not ours to keep. Images go once they have been read.

  • Password fields are refused

The AI panel does not appear in secure or numeric fields — refused before anything renders.

  • Analytics never record what was said

Events carry counts and durations. A database constraint rejects anything shaped like a message.

Who it is for

Made for the people actually doing the work.

Sample copy. Trade Reply has not launched yet, so these are illustrative — not real customer reviews. They will be replaced with quotes from actual contractors.

  • I'm usually answering customers between jobs. This makes it way faster to send something that actually sounds professional.

    Plumbing contractor· sample

  • Instead of sitting there figuring out how to word a follow-up, I can get it done in seconds.

  • It's especially useful for estimate follow-ups and customers asking the same questions all day.

FAQ

Questions? Answered.

What is Trade Reply?

An AI reply assistant for home-service contractors. It lives in your phone keyboard, reads the customer conversation you point it at, and drafts a professional reply in your voice using your real services and pricing.

Who is Trade Reply designed for?

Plumbers, HVAC technicians, electricians, roofers, landscapers, painters, cleaners, handymen and remodelers — anyone running a service business from a van rather than a desk.

Why does it need a screenshot?

Because a phone keyboard genuinely cannot read your conversation. On iOS the system returns zero characters of the thread to a keyboard extension, and on Android a messaging thread lives in a list the keyboard cannot see. Rather than pretend otherwise, Trade Reply reads the screenshot you take — one gesture you already know, and it captures the whole thread. You can also paste text or use what you have already typed.

Does it send messages for me?

No, and it never will. Trade Reply writes the draft and puts it in your message box. Reading it and pressing send is always yours.

Does Trade Reply work for plumbers?

Yes. Plumbing is one of the built-in trades, with its common services — drain cleaning, water heater replacement, emergency call-outs, sewer lines — already known, so a price question about a water heater gets a plumbing answer rather than a generic one.

Can electricians use Trade Reply?

Yes. Electrical is built in, covering panel upgrades, EV charger installs, rewiring, generators and troubleshooting, along with the scheduling and quoting messages that come with them.

Can I use it for estimate follow-ups?

Yes — it is one of the most used actions. Trade Reply can chase a quote that has gone quiet, or reopen a lead that went cold, without sounding like you are nagging.

Can it help me reply to difficult customers?

Yes. There are specific actions for handling a price objection, explaining what a price covers, and responding to a complaint about work already done — the messages that are hardest to write while you are annoyed.

Can Trade Reply write review requests?

Yes. Add your Google review link once and it will ask on your behalf, worded so it does not feel awkward to send to somebody you just did work for.

Can I change the tone of a message?

Yes. Your business has a default tone — friendly, straightforward, professional, casual, premium or no-nonsense — and you can shorten any individual reply or push it more formal or more casual with one tap.

What happens to my customers’ messages?

By default, nothing is stored. Retention is off until you turn it on, screenshots are deleted the moment they have been read, and analytics record what happened rather than what was said. Nothing is sent anywhere until you tap a named action.

Is Trade Reply available on iPhone? Is Android coming?

Both are being built — an iOS keyboard extension and an Android input method. Neither is on the stores yet. The download buttons on this page will go live the moment the listings do.

Spend less time typing.
Spend more time working.

Professional customer replies in seconds, from AI built specifically for the trades — and a send button that stays yours.
